Repeats and similarity search

  1. The program uses a query microsatellite sequence as an input and checks for the presence of SSRs. If no repeats are found in the query, the program terminates with a warning message.
  2. If repeats are present in the query sequence, the program further analyses the type and frequency of repeats.
  3. It search for identical or similar microsatellite sequences in FishMicrosat and also generates the PCR primers sequence for the query.
