Chromosome staining/banding/FISH Constitutive heterochromatin detected in few chromosomes in centromeric and in distal regions of short arms of submetacentric pair no. 19 and the subtelocentric pair no. 22. Ag-NORs were also located in a distal position on short arm of the subtelocentric pair no. 22, coinciding with a heterochromatic region.
