Source of chromosomes Cell culture
Number of specimens with sex
Diploid chromosome number 48
Karyotype formula 2m+2sm+22st+22a
Fundamental arm number -

Sex chromosome Not reported
Chromosome staining/banding/FISH Individual karyotypes contained variable numbers (2–10) of additional micro chromosomes, suggested as B-chromosomes. CMA3 staining showed presence of a GC-rich block near pericentromeric chromatin in most chromosomes. All chromosome spreads had atleast two GC-rich B-chromosomes, whereas AT-rich B-chromosomes were detected in 60% chromosome spreads.

Karyology remarks 5S rDNA signal was located on single chromosome pair, whereas 18S rDNA was found on two pairs of chromosomes.
