Neopomacentrus azysron (Bleeker, 1877) azysron, Pomacentrus (Pomacentrus) Bleeker [P.] 1877:50 [Natuurkundige Verhandelingen van de Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen te Haarlem (Ser. 3) v. 2 (no. 6)] 7 miles west of Honiara, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, western Pacific, depth 1-2 meters [original locality Ambon Island].
