Chromosome staining/banding/FISH C-bands were located on centromeric or pericentromeric regions of all chromosomes. Ag-NORs were located terminally on the short arm of a submetacentric chromosome pair (Feijão stream) and on up to three chromosomes (Pântano stream). The 18S rDNA sites were located on four chromosomes (Feijão stream) and in the terminal region of short arm of one subtelocentric pair (Pântano stream). 5S rDNA sites were located on a pair of submetacentric chromosomes

Chromosome staining/banding/FISH Multiple AgNORs found with inter-individual variation in both stocks terminally located in long arm of pair 6, short arm in one of chromosome pair 14 and pair 19 in Pindorama stock; terminally located on long arm in one of chromosome pair 6, and short arm in one of chromosome pair 14 and 19 in Lopei stock. C-band showed pericentrometric bands & associated with AgNORs in both stocks, found in pairs 5, 7, 9, 10, 16, 19, 24 in Pindorama stock, but in pairs 4, 5, 8, 10, 16, 19, 21, 22, 25 in Lopei.
