Chromosome staining/banding/FISH | The constitutive heterochromatin was distributed in large heterochromatic blocks in the pericentromeric region in homologous chromosomes. The silver-stained nucleolar organizer regions (Ag-NORs) were evident in a single metacentric pair in a terminal position of the long arm and confirmed by in situ hybridization with 18S rDNA probes. Additionally, a small submetacentric chromosome was marked with 18S rDNA signal on the long arm. |
