Importance | ||
Remarks | FISH with 18S & 5S rDNA probes showed a syntenic location on terminal and proximal positions of long arm of metacentric pair 3. Telomeric probe (TTAGGG)n showed uniform signals on telomeres of all chromosomes. |

Chromosome staining/banding/FISH | The constitutive heterochromatin was distributed in large heterochromatic blocks in the pericentromeric region in homologous chromosomes. The silver-stained nucleolar organizer regions (Ag-NORs) were evident in a single metacentric pair in a terminal position of the long arm and confirmed by in situ hybridization with 18S rDNA probes. |
