Chromosome staining/banding/FISH | C-bands observed in centromeric and terminal regions of most chromosomes. Conspicuous interstitial and distal C-blocks found in pairs 1, 5, 6, 8 and 10. Ag-NOR located on long arms of pair 2, short arms of pair 6 and interstitial region of long arm of one of homologous pair 7. Four to six 18S rRNA gene sites found by FISH. 5S rDNA probe located on interstitial regions of long arms of pair 8. Telomeric probe showed no interstitial sites. |
