Chromosome staining/banding/FISH Discrete heterochromatic blocks were present in the centromeric regions of the chromosomes. 18S rDNA/Ag-NORs/ CMA3+/DAPI-sites were located on the short arms of a subtelocentric pair. 5S rDNA genes were located on chromosome pair 24.
